Pontoni is a small family business with deep roots in the Friuli region, operating since 1904, when grandfather Luigi began cultivating the vineyards of Buttrio Castle as a sharecropper. The tradition then continued with his sons Giuseppino and Mario, then on to his nephew and current producer, Flavio Pontoni, who with dedication and passion continues to safeguard the bond with the land.
For 120 years, the company has been dedicated to the cultivation of vines and the production of wines that have received numerous awards over the years - an authentic expression of commitment and quality. With about 11 hectares of land, of which 5 hectares planted with vines, the estate produces about 25,000 bottles a year from native and international grape varieties.
In 2006, the winery expanded with a homely agritourism business, Braides, the ideal sojourn for wine lovers, with opportunities for authentic tasting experiences and exploration of the local area. Flavio Pontoni proudly carries on the history and excellence of Friulian wine, keeping alive a tradition that date back more than a century.
