Miles Davis 100 - Listen to This!

An exhibition to  be listened to, even before looking at it.
In Pordenone Miles Davis' centenary becomes an immersive experience guided by sound, curated by Enrico Merlin with JazzInsieme: a journey into his continuous metamorphosis, through music, images and rare documents.

The heart of the exhibition is Listen to This!: an interactive database that allows visitors to browse over 2,000 official recordings and create personalised playlists, organised by era, style, musician, location and collaboration, with individual stations and high-quality headphones.

Eight sections open up different perspectives: Miles as a musician and global icon, his face and name as a cultural symbol, his style and album covers, the visual artist, the scientific section  featuring contracts and materials from Columbia Records, his relationship with Italy and rare video materials. At the centre is The Miles Davis Galaxy - The Bitches Brew Era: a galaxy of sound, with public listening sessions on a high-end sound system and events during the exhibition.
