Marina Uno is located in
Lignano Sabbiadoro in the Riviera town on the mouth of the Tagliamento River, 20 km from Latisana exit on the A4 Venice-Trieste motorway and 60 km from the
airport of Ronchi dei Legionari (Trieste) and at 70 km from Venice airport.
The name Marina Uno derives from the fact that it was the first marina in the Adriatic. The marina was built in 1960 and was enlarged and completed in 1983.
The marina can be reached by boat going up the canal on the Tagliamento river mouth bounded by poles and then the river for about 400 metres as a whole, then turning right entering the marina; alternatively, the marina can be reached along the Litoranea Veneta network of navigable canals from Venice or from Trieste, then the Tagliamento river for about 1 km and then turning left entering the marina. The entrance to the marina is marked by two intermittent green and red lights. With a sandy floor having a depth between 2.5 and 3 metres,
the Marina can accommodate up to 420 boasts from 7 to 20 metres at floating piers equipped with drinking water and electricity.
It operates as a dockyard able to provide services of launching, towing, outdoor and indoor laying up, electrical and technical fixing, maintenance of wood and fibreglass hulls.
The dockyard facilities include: a motor workshop, overhaul of transmissions, axles, screws and rudders; one 7.5 and one 20 ton crane and a filling station.
Sale of new and second-hand boats, inboard and outboard engines, onboard equipment, spare parts, onboard electronics.
At the marina you will find: toilets, hot showers and washing machines, a four-star hotel with a beauty centre, a swimming pool with a bar, a newspaper and tobacconist's shop, a bar, guarding and surveillance with cameras, car park, boat licence school, boat chartering, scuba diving courses, boat rental without licence, free Wi-Fi access.
Every year since 1990 Marina Uno has been awarded the "Blue Flag" by the Federation for Environmental Education owing to the wide range and quality of the services it provides.
