Rigolato
Rigolato lies on both the left and right banks of the River Degano at the foot of both Mount Pleros and Mount Talm.
In the 15th century copper and silver began to be extracted from Mount Avanza. Mining activity in the area lasted until World War II.
At the beginning of the last century Rigolato was already an important village. It was a chief town during both the first Reign of Italy and under Austrian control.
The whole area is rich in conifer trees which allow for woodworking activities, while meadows and pastures are ideal for raising cattle.
The area's natural beauty can be seen in the many species of rare plants and mountain flowers.
