Numerous excursions with mycological guides, nature walks to discover the flavors of the forest, and of course, plenty of mushrooms on the table, celebrating the local cuisine of Forni di Sopra in the town’s restaurants and hotels.
Friday: FORNI DI SOPRA – Storytelling and Murals
Arrival in the morning. Afternoon free for a walk or a moderate mountain hike. Alternatively, enjoy a pleasant bike ride on a mountain bike or e-bike, immersed in the pristine nature along the cycling paths surrounding Forni di Sopra. Dinner featuring mushrooms and overnight stay at the hotel.
Saturday: FORNI DI SOPRA – Walk to the Malga – MUSHROOM FESTIVAL
Breakfast at the hotel. Take the Varmost chairlift (1750 m) and enjoy a walk to Malga Varmost, with a stop at the cheerful farm. Taste typical dairy products, with the option to purchase. Descend by chairlift. The afternoon is dedicated to the Mushroom Festival, with a visit to the exhibitions, participation in conferences with local mycological experts. Dinner featuring mushrooms and overnight stay at the hotel.
Sunday: MUSHROOM FESTIVAL
Breakfast at the hotel. The day is dedicated to the Traditional Mushroom Festival, focusing on discovering local mushrooms. The program offers a variety of activities and experiences, including an excursion to explore the scents of forest mushrooms, a nature walk with Biagio the Donkey, and Forest Bathing in the Friulian Dolomites—a sensory walk where you immerse yourself in nature and the forest, using all your senses to relax both body and mind. Enjoy music and numerous mushroom-related markets, as well as food stalls offering local products made with wild mushrooms.
At the end of the day, departure to your home destinations.
