The tour starts in Tarvisio along the Alpe Adria, crossing the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, rich in Alpine, Austrian, Slovenian, and Venetian cultural traditions. We will explore Villach, Kranjska Gora, the Carnic Alps, and cycle towards Udine, ultimately reaching the European Capitals of Culture 2025 – Gorizia and Nova Gorica, on a cross-border journey.

Day 1: Arrival in Tarvisio
Individual arrival in Tarvisio, where the Italian, Austrian, and Slovenian territories meet. This city is a melting pot of these cultures. Check-in at the hotel.
Day 2: Tarvisio - Kranjska Gora - Fusine Lakes - Tarvisio (approx. 45 km)
Cycle towards the Slovenian border to Kranjska Gora, a popular ski resort. On the way back, visit the Fusine Lakes, surrounded by dense forests. Return to the hotel after the ride.
Day 3: Tarvisio - Villach (approx. 40 km) + return by train
Cycle towards the Austrian border, following the Gail River to the charming town of Villach. Return to Tarvisio by train.
Day 4: Tarvisio – Venzone/Surroundings (approx. 58 km)
Leave Tarvisio and cycle through Friuli Venezia Giulia, passing the beautiful Friulian Alps and dense forests.
Day 5: Venzone/Surroundings – Udine (approx. 60 km)
Cycle to Gemona, known for its Duomo di Santa Maria Assunta. Continue along vineyards to Udine, a city influenced by Venice with a relaxing atmosphere.
Day 6: Udine – Gorizia (approx. 45 km)
Cycle through the Friulian Hills, passing Buttrio and Cormons, into the wine regions of Friuli Colli Orientali and Collio. Reach Gorizia, one of the European Capitals of Culture 2025.
Day 7: Gorizia – Nova Gorica (approx. 17 km)
Explore the history and culture of Gorizia (Italy) and Nova Gorica (Slovenia), visiting monuments like Gorizia Castle and the symbolic Piazza della Transalpina.
Day 8: Gorizia – Individual Departure
Individual departure from Gorizia or extend your stay.
