The Pedemontana Cycle Path: From Sacile to Gorizia

Day 1: Arrival in Sacile
Arrive in Sacile and settle in. Explore the town, known for its Venetian atmosphere and the nickname "Garden of the Serenissima."

Day 2: Sacile - Maniago (approx. 37 km)
After breakfast, cycle through the Pordenone foothills, visit the UNESCO-listed Palù di Livenza, and reach Polcenigo, known for its basket-making. Continue to Aviano and its 10th-century castle, then to Maniago, famous for its knives.

Day 3: Maniago - Gemona del Friuli (approx. 48 km)
Cycle to Fanna, home to the Madonna di Strada shrine, then to Cavasso Nuovo and Meduno. Pass through beautiful villages like Toppo, and continue through Travesio, Valeriano, and Pinzano along the Tagliamento River. Arrive in Gemona via the Braulinis Bridge.

Day 4: Gemona del Friuli - Cividale del Friuli (approx. 40 km)
Depart Gemona and head to Artegna with its medieval streets and Savorgnan Castle. Continue cycling through the Friulian countryside, passing Magnano in Riviera, Borgo Urana, and Tarcento, and end in Cividale del Friuli.

Day 5: Cividale del Friuli - Gorizia (approx. 34 km)
Cycle to San Giovanni al Natisone, then through the Friuli Colli Orientali and Collio wine regions. Reach Gorizia, with Nova Gorica, European Capital of Culture 2025.

Day 6: Gorizia
