A very short walk in the heart of the Karst to discover the cultural roots of the territory and its Italian and Slovenian communities.
Two communities, the Italian and the Slovenian, which long had rivalry where the border is close and its line has been redrawn several times over the centuries. Two living, culturally rich communities that hold within them an artistic heritage that transcends time and the life of its author, reaching up to today, where that climate of rivalry has been resolved into peaceful coexistence and communion. The short route that winds towards the village of Col starting from the rock and the Monrupino sanctuary wants to represent just this. Here, the images of poets Srečko Kosovel, Umberto Saba and Igo Gruden, their words immersed in a quiet and welcoming green allow the visitor to fully enjoy the beauty of this newfound peace.
