A much frequented itinerary facing south that gets to the Piani del Montasio dominated by the magnificent faces of the Jof di Montasio. The first part, on a wide track in the wood, does not allow to enjoy wide views. Along the upper part of the route, the main view is all over the northern side of Mount Canin. The itinerary is suitable for snowshoeing as well.

From the car park of Sella Nevea follow the road - closed in winter - that goes up to the Montasio Plateau until getting near the mountain pasture of Casere Pecol (1502 m). The Rifugio Di Brazzà Alpine hut, closed in winter, will now be clearly visible on your right, in the north-east direction. The route proceeds on the wide clearings of the plateau and goes past some rises that shortly lead to the last relief below the hut. Go back along the same route.
