Located on the western side of the island, between the harbour and the lagoon, Costa Azzurra is one of the most historic beach areas in Grado. Locals affectionately call it “spiaggia vecia” (“the old beach”), as it was one of the first areas used for bathing.
Here the seabed slopes slightly more quickly than in other parts of the coast, allowing visitors to swim without having to go far from the shore.
The beach alternates between free beach areas and equipped beach resorts where you can rent umbrellas, sunbeds and pedal boats.
Behind the beach runs a pleasant seaside promenade with restaurants and bars overlooking the lagoon – perfect for a break during the day or for a dinner with sunset views.
During summer, the beach resorts often organise sports activities, entertainment and events for all ages.
