At the time of Baron Pasquale Revoltella, Trieste was an important port of an empire, a rich centre of commercial and cultural exchange which, in the mid-19th century, thanks in part to the skills and resources of men such as the Baron, played a central role in world geopolitical history that far exceeded all predictions and expectations.
Baron Revoltella's house played an equally central role in the artistic and cultural life of nineteenth-century Trieste, and it is on this aspect that the lively show focuses, dedicated to the music that accompanied the history of the city. The host is Baron Revoltella himself, who will entertain the audience, guests in his home together with artists and musicians, with the classic formula of Hausmusik, musical entertainment typical of the noble and aristocratic families of Mitteleuropean Trieste.
