Shodō - FEFF 2026

Description

The calligraphy known as shodō is one of the most popular of the Japanese arts, and works of calligraphy are appreciated as much as paintings. Nothing is left to chance in Japanese calligraphy: the symbols are harmonious, well-proportioned and balanced. It is an art which is linked to philosophy and meditation, and helps teach calm and patience. This workshop offers participants the chance to learn the basic techniques of shodō art and how to use the brushes to write their name, a word or a phrase that is important to them.

Those who want may bring their own material to use during the workshop (brushes, paper, notebooks).

INFO: Max 20 participants. Euro 25.
