This traveling exhibition—which has grown over time to include new panels and thematic insights—focuses on Saint Francis, his life, his mission, and his values. Fully aware of the Saint’s universal message, we sought to make this content as accessible and relatable as possible for everyone. Beyond its use of "easy-to-read and easy-to-understand" language, the exhibition’s innovative character lies in how it tells the story of a saint’s life through key stages and images; it offers detailed descriptions within a historical-cultural journey rich in precise references to our universally recognized and cherished cultural and artistic heritage. Ultimately, the portrait that emerges is that of a living, modern, and accessible Saint Francis—one capable of speaking to both believers and non-believers alike. The goal is to promote knowledge of the Saint and the enduring relevance of his message, highlighting its spiritual, artistic, and cultural significance while engaging a broad audience—with a special focus on young people. The year 2026 marks the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi, a central figure in Italian and European spirituality, culture, and identity. As the patron saint of Italy, Saint Francis embodies universal values ​​such as peace, fraternity, respect for creation, and solidarity. Yet, eight hundred years later, we are reminded of just how far we remain from truly living out these values. This exhibition stands as a living testament to a Saint whose message remains profoundly relevant and whose thought and faith are recognized worldwide.
