Description
"The Form of Heat" ("La Forma del Calore") is a dialogue between scientific data, imagery, and the experience of climate change, created by Exhibit Around APS as part of the RE-Active Interreg Italy-Slovenia project. The exhibition stems from the need to make one of the most prominent phenomena of climate change—heatwaves—more understandable and accessible, with a focus on the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. By analyzing datasets provided by ARPA FVG, with scientific support from the Department of Economics, Business, Mathematics and Statistics (DEAMS) at the University of Trieste, the complexity of climate data is translated into clear, accessible graphic representations that illustrate how temperatures have evolved over time. Integrated into this narrative is "Heataly," a photographic project by Filippo Ferraro. It complements the data visualizations with a visual and sensory interpretation of the phenomenon, using photographs to depict heat through the places, landscapes, and the traces it leaves upon the territory. Musical installation: The exhibition will be enhanced by an original composition by Matteo Zambon—the winning entry of the "Photography in Symphony" (Fotografia in Sinfonia) music contest, organized in collaboration with the Tartini Conservatory specifically for the Trieste Photo Days exhibitions.
Opening hours: October 23–25: 10:00–19:00. October 26–November 8: Thursday–Sunday, 10:00–17:00. Free admission.
