Photo exhibition "Good Morning, America" by Mark Power

The thirteenth edition of Trieste Photo Days will feature an exceptionally rich program, spread across some of Trieste’s most evocative venues, with over 2,500 photographs on display. At Magazzino 26 in the Old Port (Porto Vecchio), the "TPD M26 Project: Visual Reflections in the Old Port" exhibition brings photographers Mark Power (Magnum) and Christopher Morris (VII Photo Agency) to Trieste. The "Leonor Fini" Hall will host *Good Morning, America* by Mark Power—an extensive, long-term project in which the photographer traverses the United States, creating a vast exploration of its physical, social, and cultural landscape. Through cities, suburbs, roads, motels, signage, marginal territories, and urban spaces in transition, the work investigates the gap between the American myth and contemporary reality, offering a portrait of a nation marked by profound political, economic, and identity-related tensions. The same hall will also feature three projects selected by Power—winners of the "Mark Power Special Prize – Beyond the Surface"—recognized for their strong visual coherence and their exploration of the landscape as a stratification of reality, sensitive to the often subtle tensions that permeate both spaces and the lives of those who inhabit them: *The Colour Beneath the Grey* by Katerina Kouzmitcheva, which explores the post-socialist architecture of Belgrade; *The Archaeological Bazaar* by Federico Possati, the result of two years of travel across the Po Valley; and *Burnthouse Lane* by Michelle Sank, which portrays the community of a social housing neighborhood built in Exeter in the 1920s.
