Mizuhiki is a very ancient Japanese art form which consists in the ability to tie aesthetically beautiful knots for use in decorations. In ancient times, the cords were used as ornaments, given as gifts to the emperor. Today they are mainly used as decorative ornaments on greeting cards as a sign of good luck, or on the occasion of weddings and other special occasions. In this workshop you will learn to create mizuhiki with your own hands and discover the meanings connected to the various types of knot.
