Malvasia in Harbour 2026 - An evening of celebration and Malvasia wine tasting

Friday 31st July 2026 sees the return of “Malvasia in Porto”, an evening of celebrations and Malvasia wine tastings.

From 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm in the small square of the seaside village of Porto San Rocco in Muggia, there will be over 40 winegrowers from the Karst, Breg, Istria and other regions.
Each of them will offer a tasting of their own version of Malvasia, one of the three most important native grape varieties of the area near Trieste. You’ll have the chance to discover their winemaking methods and learn about the stories of the winemakers in attendance.
Alongside them will be some of the finest local producers of artisan bread, made with sourdough starter and sustainably sourced flours. These breads will be paired with local and seasonal produce to create artisanal "cicchetti" for you to sample throughout the evening.

A ticket for “Malvasia in Porto” costs € 30 per person and includes the chance to taste all the Malvasia wines on offer.

The ticket includes 3 tokens, each worth € 2, which can be used to taste the artisanal cicchetti.
You can take the wine glass home as a souvenir of the event.
