Active since 1999, the band has played thousands of concerts across the globe over a career spanning just over 25 years, collaborating with major artists such as Madonna and Goran Bregovic. Their new album, We Mean It, Man!, is set for release on February 13th, followed by a new European tour. Their musical signature is a "patchanka" blend of sounds—ranging from Eastern European Gypsy melodies to punk and rock—enriched by thunderous instrumentation and elevated in live performances by the charismatic stage presence of frontman Eugene Hütz. Hütz states: “Gogol Bordello has always been open to cross-pollination. And We Mean It, Man! brings together all our original inspirations more than any other work: punk, Gypsy music, hardcore, and techno. I conceived this album as a collaboration with one of my all-time favorite producers, Nick Launay, who played a pivotal role in the development of post-punk as a genre. In terms of a multimedia collage distilled to its essence, this is the best ‘Frankenstein’ we’ve created since Gypsy Punks. This is our post-punk groove revenge.”
