Exhibition "My city"

The exhibition "My city" by painter Claudio Martincic will be presented on January 24th at 5:00 pm (Sala Comunale d'Arte Trieste - Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia 4, open from January 24th to February 9th, 2026, weekdays and holidays: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm / 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. On February 9th, open only in the morning). Claudio Martincic was born in Trieste on December 27th, 1939. A hyperrealist painter, he began painting regularly after retiring, favoring landscapes and city views. Initially, he used ink on cardboard, then moved on to canvas and acrylics. "Delicate yet incisive, Martincic demonstrates his ability to highlight every detail of his subjects without neglecting the dictates of classical drawing, with chromatic balance enhanced by reflections, chiaroscuro, and perfectly respected perspectives. It is a journey through memories, moments, and love for his surroundings, offering a vision as clear and fresh as only someone who lives in a city surrounded by the sea can express."
