Description
oin the crew of the Miramare Marine Protected Area for a sunset sailing experience. Together with WWF staff, you will venture into the waters of Italy’s oldest marine reserve to discover the extraordinary biodiversity that thrives both above and below the surface of this protected area, and be enchanted by the evocative view of Miramare Castle reflected in the sea. Cruising from Grignano towards Santa Croce, you will enjoy the coastal landscape of the Trieste coastline, with its sustainable productive activities such as extensive mussel farming and terraced vineyards and olive groves, which make this territory a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The experience concludes with a toast on board, featuring a locally produced wine from the sustainable wineries of the Karst edge.
The excursions depart, every Wednesday, from the small harbour of Grignano, next to the TPL bus terminus (line 6), where you will board together with WWF staff for an itinerary lasting approximately 75 minutes.
For the excursion, we recommend wearing closed-toe shoes or sports sandals with non-slip soles, as well as a hat, and bringing sunscreen and drinking water.
