PROGRAMME
Daily "Itinerari del Gusto": a food and wine journey discovering the typical products of the Karst region. Bars, restaurants, pizzerias, and bakeries will offer the chance to enjoy pastries and a wide range of other specialties made with ingredients from local producers. Participating businesses in Opicina will offer breakfast, aperitifs, lunch, dinner, desserts, gelato, and "Barcolana Pizza." Visitors can admire shop windows decorated around the theme "Red leaves on the Karst, white sails on the sea" and Barcolana58. Shops will also feature their new Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 collections.

At 3:30 PM: Burraco tournament at the "Mario Capon" Community Center (Via S. Isidoro, 13), organized by Volop (Opicina Volunteers). The awards ceremony will take place on Friday, October 9, at 5:00 PM at the ASD SK Brdina Association stand near the Obelisk.
Friday, October 9
Ernesto Animazione and face-painting artists will be present at the Obelisk square from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
A kiosk serving local food and wine specialties, run by the ASD SK Brdina Association, will be set up in the area in front of the (illuminated) Obelisk from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
At the end of the Napoleonica trail (or at the entrance for those arriving from Prosecco), visitors can taste local wines and products at the Mladina Sports Association stand from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
From 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the historic Opicina tramcar will be on display at the Opicina Tram Station, courtesy of Trieste Trasporti.
At 5:30 PM: "Napoleonica by Carriage." Horse-drawn carriage rides provided by the Šuc Farm, reserved for individuals with disabilities or reduced mobility; this initiative aims to allow those with walking difficulties to enjoy the beauty of the Napoleonica trail and the view of the Gulf of Trieste.
At 5:00 PM, the awards ceremony for the Burraco tournament will take place at the ASD SK Brdina Association stand by the Obelisk.
Saturday, October 10
A kiosk offering food and wine specialties, run by the ASD SK Brdina association, will be set up in the area in front of the (illuminated) Obelisk; it will be open from 7:00 AM to midnight. The stand of the amateur sports association SK Devin will be open on the Napoleonica trail from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
At the end of the Napoleonica trail (or at the entrance for those arriving from Prosecco), the Mladina Sports Association will host a stand offering tastings of local wines and products from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Ernesto Animazione will be at the Obelisk area providing entertainment and face painting from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Guided tours of the Opicina Bunkers will take place at 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM, led by Sara Gruber and Furio Alessi from GAAST (Trieste Historical, Artistic, and Environmental Group). Tours are available on a voluntary contribution basis; please book by emailing gaasts1@gmail.com
"Obelix 2026" – a non-competitive cross-country slalom race for children and families on the Napoleonica trail, organized by the ASD SK Brdina association. Free registration from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the ASD SK Brdina stand by the Obelisk. Race starts at 10:30 AM.
From 10:00 AM at the Obelisk: children's entertainment featuring Magician Ernesto and face painting.
From 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM: Orienteering event organized by Punto K Orienteering ASD; meeting point at the end of the Napoleonica trail (towards Prosecco).
At 1:30 PM: "En Plein Air" – a session for painting sailboats and the sea at sunset, organized by SKD TABOR APS and Poti Umetnosti-Rotte d'Arte on the scenic lawn of Parkljev Hrib. Reservations at +39 3400982102 and +39 3312800453.
At 4:00 PM: Guided tour titled "(S)VELIAMO OPICINA" with Živka Persi from the Slovenian cultural association *Slovensko kulturno društvo Tabor APS*. Meeting time: 3:45 PM at Piazzale Monte Re (in front of the elementary school). Reservation required. For information, email: skdtabor@gmail.com.

The SK Devin Amateur Sports Association stand on the Napoleonica trail will be open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Starting at 9:00 AM at the Obelisk, there will be a handicraft market and exhibition organized by the "Con il filo in mano" group of the Slovenian cultural association SKD Tabor APS.

At 10:30 AM: Start of the "Barcolana 58" regatta, viewed from Opicina (the race can be watched from the viewpoint near the Obelisk Campsite, the Obelisk square, the Napoleonica trail, and the Vedetta d'Italia).
