From 24 April to 10 May, Fossalon, a hamlet of Grado, will host the 38th edition of the Asparagus Festival, one of spring’s most eagerly awaited events. An event that celebrates one of the region’s iconic produce, offering a packed programme of activities ranging from food and wine to music and tradition. Throughout the festival, the kitchens will be open, serving dishes based on asparagus and local specialities, open for dinner on weekdays and for both lunch and dinner at weekends and on public holidays.
The programme features concerts and live music evenings, tastings of local wines and produce, family-friendly events and outdoor activities, such as walks through the fields. There will be plenty of opportunities to discover local specialities, with tastings dedicated to wines from the Aquileiese area, regional gins and bitters from Friuli Venezia Giulia.
New for the 2026 edition is the introduction of zero-kilometre ice cream, confirming the focus on local produce and the promotion of the short supply chain.
