Solo exhibition by Trieste-based painter Loredana Riavini
The artist's work is now characterised by an increasingly dense, full-bodied painting style with a keen eye for detail. Riavini interprets it in a narrative language with a post-impressionist flavour, revealing above all a solid and fundamental preparation through the use of ancient traditional techniques, consisting, for example, in the preparation of the background with chalk and caravella glue and in the finishing of the painting with shellac, which the painter prepares herself and has always used to even out the final application of the work.
The artist, who has had numerous solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad, has created various works of naval decoration, including a panel depicting animals found in the territory inhabited by Aborigines, created for a ship that shuttled back and forth to Australia.
