Exhibition ‘Martoriati’

A five-day exhibition of MAURO MARTORIATI's works, during which the artist will engage in drawing and painting interactively with the public from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. During the exhibition, musical performances will include Emanuele Laterza (guitar); Paolo Cervi Kervischer (sax); Eduardo Contizanetti (guitar & live electronics); and Emanuela Di Benedetto (DEMO-CRAZY performance).

"An exhibition without a title," writes Franco Rosso in the introduction, "because it is not necessary, because the name of the artist, his life, coincides with the creative expression on display. If it is true that paintings are always children of the artist who created them, this is even more true in the case of Mauro Martoriati, who has dedicated his entire life to art, creating a virtuous symbiosis between existence and creative production, one fulfilling the other. This exhibition features some medium- and large-scale works that exemplify almost fifty years of activity by Martoriati, who has expressed himself through painting, sculpture, and design, always remaining consistent in seeking to develop through art a philosophical interpretation of reality to interpret the social dynamics of contemporary life, always combining nature and humanity. A wandering artist and vagabond of Roman origins, he has lived and worked in Trieste for over 10 years, after having begun his artistic career in the 1980s by attending the legendary "Scuola di Piazza del Popolo" in Rome, and then focusing on perfecting his skills. of his creative expression with extensive study visits in New York, Paris, and Madrid, developing over time an exhibition presence with over one hundred solo exhibitions in various cities around the world.
