Villalta Castle, the private residence of the Caporiacco family, is the most important medieval manor in Friuli, located in a prominent position on the Friulian plain.
On the ground floor, there is a kitchen furnished in rustic Friulian style, whereas on the "
piano nobile" (
main floor) of the castle,
decorated with 17th century frescoes, we can find the
Salone dei Patriarchi (Hall of the Patriarchs), the Sale Imperiali (Imperial Rooms) and the
Sala degli Alberi Genealogici (Genealogical Tree Room), all finely furnished.
The castle is surrounded by a
double ring of walls, with Ghibelline crenellations, a parapet walkway and circular towers at its corners. The
park, displaying different colours in every season, is home to
centuries-old olive trees and fruit trees.
There is no other place more romantic and attractive for celebrating a wedding while making use of its catering services.
