The Società Velica Barcola Grignano is located in
Trieste along the Barcola seafront a few kilometers from the city center. The sports activities organised by this Club includes a sailing school for students, athletes and regattas. The introductory sailing courses are held for three weekends and three Wednesdays between the second week of June and the first of August. There are many races organized by the Sailing Club Barcola Grignano both for cruisers and for offshore sailing, such as Lisa Rochelli for Laser Snipe and other cruisers and the famous Barcolana for offshore sailing. Some of the services offered to members are: a crane for hauling boats, a water slide and a yard for outside storage. There is also a bar and restaurant.
