Società Nautica Pietas Julia is located at
Sistiana Mare, 18 km from the center of
Trieste. The sports activities organised by this Club includes a sailing school for students and athletes, Kayaking classes and regattas. The introductory sailing courses for children take place in summer from the last week of June to the first week of September on a weekly basis. The Club provides the students of the sailing school with the boats FIV555 and Optimist for the younger ones. Some of the numerous regattas organized by the Società Nautica Pietas Julia includes the Memorial Alex Moccia for optimist boats and the Trofeo Bernetti for cruisers which takes place the week before the Barcolana.
