The Società Nautica Laguna is situated in the village known as Villaggio del Pescatore (
Duino), 20 km from the Trieste center. The sports activities organised by this Club includes a sailing school for students and athletes, fishing cruiser and regattas. The Club also organises introductory sailing courses for children aged 7 to 14 in summer, from the second week of June to the first week of August on Optimist boats. Summer introductory sailing classes for disabled boys/girls are also organised. Some of the many regattas organised by the Società Nautica Laguna includes: the Due Castelli offshore Trophy for the following boats: Open, Cruisers, Regatta, Free class and monotypes including the Illica Cup for IIImit monotype boats and Meteor.
