Miramare Marina Nature Reserve

Under the sea, at the foot of the white Miramare Castle, a treasure trove of marine biodiversity is hidden: but how can you discover it? By snorkeling in the Marine Protected Area of Miramare, the only marine reserve in the region, where WWF staff can accompany you into the sea to observe dozens of animal and plant species, some more abundant and common, others rarer: corvinas, blennies, nudibranchs, starfish... The reserve protects habitats rich in life and biodiversity!

The itineraries proposed within the marine area wind along the coast, at the foot of Miramare Castle, along a shallow underwater path among the rocks, just a few metres from the shore. Every summer, they organize departures from Miramare’s protected beach.
