Starting from the convenient parking near the lake, take the bridge and cross it completely to reach the opposite shore. On the left, there is a white and green sign marking the beginning of the trail.
Continue along the clearly visible path until reaching the vicinity of the dam crest. Here the trail forks: going up you can reach a panoramic viewpoint, while going down you can cross the dam completely, enjoying a spectacular view of the lake.
At the end of the crest, take the asphalt road (Via Panias), ascending it for about 150 meters. On the left, there is a marked trail (white-green) that goes into the woods: follow it crossing several suspension bridges in a fascinating and evocative stretch with splendid views of the lake and the surrounding environment. The route closes by returning to the starting point, thus completing the loop.
Those who prefer to avoid the suspension bridges can choose an alternative: once the dam is crossed, it is possible to continue uphill along the asphalt road, reaching the settlement of Chiaicis and from there comfortably return to the parking lot.
