The cavern of the Bélin - Straitar Location - 2H

The route starts from the square in front of the Kursaal in Sauris di Sotto and continues eastward; past the last houses, we face a climb up to some stavoli near which there is a karst-type chasm. Remaining at high altitude, inside the forest, we can glimpse on the left a characteristic rock ravine: the Bélinlouch, or the cavern of the Bélin, an unpleasant female character who, as legend has it, imposed a singular toll on anyone who had to leave Sauris for the first time (de must pussn in orsch in der Bélin). Having encountered the bed of a stream, go up it to the left until you meet a jump at a very smooth boulder about 3 m. high; go around it, pointing north to the Straitar locality . After an hour and a half from the start, we finally meet the cartroad that leads back to Sauris di Sotto, while to the right it continues along itinerary 2A.
