Long but definitely satisfying hike to the scenic summit of Mount Borgà, starting from the Cava Buscada Refuge.
From the Rifugio Cava Buscada (1190 m) we continue beyond the panoramic terrace; a path leads us, between gentle ups and downs along the slope meadows, to the crossroads at an altitude of 1685 m (from here the normal route to Monte Borgà, which begins in Erto, goes up). At the fork, we take path 372 steeply uphill (signs for San Daniele Books) until we reach the ruins of Caserà Borgà (1940 m). From the ruins, we follow the ridge to the right of the large basin, always keeping an eye on the obvious red-white markings; we thus arrive at a scenic fork (2180 m), with beautiful views to the north. We now take a right, and in ten easy minutes, on an obvious path, we arrive at the cross and summit book of Monte Borgà (2228 m), decidedly panoramic.
Once we reach Mount Borgà and return, on the way back, to the scenic fork, we can continue along easy grassy ridges until we reach the San Daniele Books, a curious geological formation and a natural complement to the hike to Borgà.

To do these hikes with ease, it is best to sleep at the Cava Buscada Refuge, from which there is a spectacular view of Duranno. In this way we can make the ascent to Borgà at our leisure: only the 610 meters of descent from Cava Buscada to the parking lot of Stei de Conte locality (near Casera Mela) must then be added to the hike.
