Lake Mediana is a small body of water set in the woods below the homonymous farmhouse. The hike takes place in an environment rich in vegetation and breathtaking views of the peaks of the Biver, Clap Savon, Tiarfin and Brentoni mountains and then sweeps over the valley of Sauris and Carnia. Crossing pastures, it is reached by first following CAI path 210 and then path 209 until taking the renewed path to the small lake.

    Author’s recommendation

Casera Razzo, during its opening periods, offers food service, sale of malga products and overnight accommodations, while the renovated Casera Mediana offers only food service and sale of local products.

    Safety information

Hike not to be undertaken in uncertain weather (the final descent to the pond is rather steep and slippery if wet).

There are few water sources along the hike and, despite the shortness of the hike, consider having an adequate amount of water resources in tow.

    Directions
