Start from the
church in the center of the village of Illegio and proceed toward the cemetery (following the signs) beyond which begins the actual descent on a path toward the
bridge of San Floriano, over the
Frondizzon stream. Still on a very evident track, go up toward the meadows of
Damièile locality, always keeping to the right along the meadow. You leave the two stavoli on the right and, after a short stretch in the woods, with a couple of turns you reach a saddle where a wall with a portal marks the entrance to the "broili" of the
Pieve di San Floriano.
After visiting the Pieve di San Floriano, return to the saddle and turn left to continue downhill through a beech forest (CAI trail marker 460) in a northerly direction, opposite to that from which you came at the entrance to the Pieve.
In about 20 minutes you reach near the cemetery of Imponzo.
From here on the left along a short dirt road and path, you head south to bypass the hill of San Floriano; this path is called "Troj da Crete."
You will then reach the Damièile plateau by entering it from the lower side; again near the fountain you will find the uphill path, which you will then follow back to Illegio.
In the locality of Damièile there is a fountain with water.
