CHARACTERISTICS:
The itinerary in its first part goes up the woody ridge of the Ronchiade following the summer forest trail. The second part in on open ground and, after reaching the mountain ridge, provides wide views over the plain below. An easy route with a moderate difference in height, suitable both for snowshoeing and for ski touring.

After leaving the road that leads to Barcis near the artificial basin of Pian delle More, take the summer forest trail that goes up the wood and leads to some wide clearings. Go up part of the trail to Forcella di Giais and, after reaching the ridge, you will shortly get to the highest point.
