One of the best-known destinations in Carnia, the scene of exciting arrivals of the Giro d'Italia, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Carnic Alps that stretches all the way to the border and beyond!
These mountain slopes are covered with thick forests where the Sbìlfs, "the Carnic elves", make their home. There are enchanting waterfalls and green meadows, all just waiting to be discovered, perhaps in the company of a nature guide.
It is easy to reach the summit of Monte Zoncolan, either by car from nearby Sutrio or by cable car from Ravascletto, which climbs to 1700 metres in just a few minutes.
And once you have reached the top, you can effortlessly walk to the alpine pastures and the mountain huts, or enjoy pleasant hikes also with your pram or pushchair.
In Ravascletto you can venture out into the trails among the trees or try rock climbing. The villages at the bottom of the valley offer experiences and activities suitable for the whole family in the discovery of traditions, crafts and excellent food.
