Animated walks for families with magical creatures from Carnic tradition
The “Woods in the Village” experience combines hiking, storytelling and role-playing, and is suitable for families and groups with children aged 3 and up.
Each animated walk is an interactive and engaging adventure that sparks children’s imagination, motivates them along the way and allows everyone to discover the traditions and landscapes of the area. The story comes to life along different stages of the trail, through woods, villages, and places of historical and natural interest. During the walk, children encounter magical creatures from local tradition, imitating their sounds and gestures, while adults take part by playing other characters.
No hiking experience is required: just follow the trail and let yourself be guided by the story. It’s a light-hearted and fun activity that can make even a short walk feel special! For young children, theatrical elements are especially exciting - the sounds, movements and characters stimulate their imagination in ways that adults often can’t even imagine.
All six loops are suitable for inexperienced walkers and children. Each one has been classified according to a recommended minimum age, ranging from 3 to 7 years old.
How it works
Each route comes with an “Il Bosco nel Borgo” game kit (game board + character cards), which players can pick up at the Paluzza Tourist Office and the Pro Loco Sutrio.
An adult acts as the narrator, reading the story on the game sheet.
All the children play the role of the Protagonist indicated on the game sheet: try together to make the sound, perform the gesture, and unleash the power shown on their character card!
The other adults receive a Helper card. If there are no other adults, the narrator will also play their role.
At each stage marked on the interactive map at app.bosconelborgo.it, stop in a suitable spot and tell the corresponding part of the story.
When a character is mentioned, the child or adult playing that character “awakens” them by performing their sound and gesture.
The characters may make requests of the children: take the time to fulfil them!
The animated walk ends with everyone returning to the starting point. Return the game cards and you’ll receive a sweet surprise!
