Downstream parking lot coordinates: 46.400020, 13.211853
Upstream access
Head from Moggio Udinese to Pradis. Here take the road to Casera Vualt and drive it until, at a fork, you’ll meet a brusque curve to the left (point of climbing over the ridge – tourist indication). Elevation 728.
From the parking lot, take the mule track south, following the ProCanyon roadmarks and head for the dam over Alba Brook. Walk it along the top, and at the opposite side look out for a track that runs into the wood. Keepo following the white-and-blue marks to proceed south along the trail, which, along the hillside, delves into the Tralba valley. When you’ll arrive to a glade after a concrete water intake, please wear your climbing harness and set up a rope: You will have to pass a trail stretch that collapsed, and it is recommended to climb down with the rope before climbing up the landslide’s opposite slope. Some minutes yet – after passing a challenging small bridge – before arriving to the Tralba Brook bed, at an intake structure. Before starting the descent, it is interesting to walk up the creek for a stretch and look at what’s left of an imposing structure the woodmen realized in their times. Intake pool permitting, the descent starts with a nice dive. The continuation is a sequence of small slopes, dives and toboga until you arrive to the highest, 30mt slope. From here on, proceed into the imposing valley until the confluence with Alba Brook. The creek’s interesting part ends with two slopes in quick sequence, a little ahead. For the exit, still the best part of half a hour progressing in the bed before you arrive to the bridge where you left the car, downstream.
