Flying over the Tarvisio area

The Julian Alps have recently been declared a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. This prestigious recognition confirms the extremely rich biodiversity of these areas, which can now be even better protected and made attractive to those who live in these picturesque places and to the thousands of tourists who come to visit them.
The Tarvisio area lies in an enviable position at the crossroads of three borders (Italy, Austria and Slovenia), which are well-connected by fast communication routes and are an excellent starting point for any type of hike, from the simplest to the most challenging.

The Mangart, Montasio and Canin mountain range offers outstanding beauty and an amazing variety of environments, with lakes (Fusine and Raibl), high plains rich in pastures and alpine dairies (Montasio cheese), demanding alpine routes and deep and huge cave systems still partially unexplored.
Onboard my drone, I want to let you get an aerial view of this wonderful corner of Italy, which is still perhaps little known compared to more famous alpine destinations but, for this very reason, everything is just waiting to be discovered and appreciated.
