If you have a free afternoon, a means of transport and the summer sun you are rich: you have all the necessary ingredients to spend a few wonderful hours that will leave you with great memories. If you want a true luxury experience all you need is a couple of sandwiches and a flask; if you forget to fill it up, Mother Nature will provide for that as well by offering you a spring of crystal clear water, but in any case, it is better to be cautious: we (my daughter and I) wanted to exaggerate and we took sun cream, bathing suits and a beach towel as well. You don’t need anything else, especially for those who love travelling light and don’t take heavy backpacks but leave space for happiness and memories. You have to walk a little, but the path is easy and if you wander around with a slightly uncertain look, the locals will not hesitate to give indications: a short walk from the shady parking lot where we left the car, a kind gentleman, intent on working around the fountain of his garden, had already advised us about the most suggestive places to see. I will not tell you about them otherwise you will miss the chance of feeling like us, novice explorers.
I can say that we will definitely remember the afternoon well: we will always remember the thousands of shades of green from the trees to the reflections of the water that surrounded us while we enjoyed ourselves among the rocks. The water is icy cold, but don’t doubt: you won’t be able to stop yourself getting wet, even if you just dip your feet. Because the Pozze Smeraldine (Emerald pools) will fascinate you and you can’t help but immerse yourself in this world with a smile.
