Picolit is one of the rarest and most fascinating grape varieties of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The DOCG that protects it guarantees its limited and precious production: a sweet ‘meditation wine’ (to be enjoyed on its own), with aromas of flowers, honey and candied fruit. Its history dates back to the eighteenth century, when it was offered to European courts as a royal gift. Today it continues to embody the nobility of Friulian viticulture in both sweet and dry versions.
