Pinot Grigio, a grape variety of ancient Burgundian origin, has been known since Roman times. It spread to Friuli in the 19th century, where it found an ideal environment. Vinified to achieve a coppery hue, it features a very characteristic colour with intense auburn reflections. Its aroma is reminiscent of acacia flowers, while its taste is dry and full-bodied, with a pleasantly bitterish aftertaste. Perfect as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with light hors d'oeuvres, delicate soups, seafood dishes and white meats.
