Bessich – Vini Friulani dal 1959
The scent of time, the strength of the stones, the love of a family.
It all began in 1959, when Antonio Bessich left Istria and set his sights on the Pordenone plain. Together with his son Luciano, he saw promise in this rugged land. Together they planted the first vines, embarking on a journey marked by hard work and intuition. Over the years, Luciano transformed that promise into an art form. It is a contagious passion that was passed on to his wife, Giuditta, and their children—Daniela, Alessandra, Roberto, and Fabio. Today, their hands continue to work in the tradition of their ancestors, guided by that same love.
We find ourselves in the heart of Western Friuli, in the Grave di Pordenone. Here, the river-formed soils are a mosaic of gravel and stones. Stones that capture the sun by day and warm the roots by night, bestowing upon the vine an energy unlike any other in the world. From this dialogue between earth and sky, a unique wine comes to life.
For the Bessich family, producing wine means protecting the future. The entire estate is cultivated in accordance with SQNPI certification—Sustainable Quality: a pledge of respect for nature. With the pride of the FIVI Independent Winemakers, we care for every cluster from the vine row to the bottle, offering DOC and IGP wines as well as unique signature blends.
Every Bessich bottle contains more than just wine. It holds the memories of a family and the love story of three generations who have chosen to listen to the land.
