Randis, farmhouse residence in Arta Terme, in the sunny valley of Alzieri, with its Randis Ranch riding stables, offers its guests boarding for horses as well as riding lessons for the less expert. The owner, Massimo Peresson, European horse trekking champion in 2002, organises interesting excursions to discover the most evocative places in the area.

The property also has an outdoor area where you can taste the local specialties, such as Cjarsons herb or sour, the crepes with Montasio, pumpkin gnocchi, the pie with mushrooms, polenta and frico, mountain cheeses and stravecchio Val But, strudel and other sweets are homemade. The "Randis" has a riding school that operates in the farm throughout the year and has twenty years experience in the field.

HOW TO REACH CARNIA By Car From the South: on the A23 motorway Udine-Tarvisio, take the “Carnia” exit (this is approx. 33km from Udine north exit and only 6km from Tolmezzo).From here you can reach any destination within 30 minutes. Alternatively you can take the State Road which runs northbound from Udine towards Carnia From the East: from Cadore across the Mauria Pass (on the A27 motorway, take the “Pian di Vadoia exit), or through the village of Sappada. By Train “Carnia” is the closest railway station, on the Rome-Vienna line. Alternatively you can alight in Udine and take the express coach service to Tolmezzo from the nearby coach station.
