The
Bosco delle Agane in Tramonti di Sotto is one of the most popular places for
hiking and picnics in Friuli Venezia Giulia, especially during the summer. The forest is located in Sottoriva, close to the
Meduna river and offers a clean and safe natural environment.
The
equipped area includes
tables, benches, gazebos, barbecue stations, toilets,
water fountains located along the route, and a
children's playground. It is easy to reach on foot from the town centre, along a
picturesque lane surrounded by greenery, and it is
illuminated at night, ensuring safe enjoyment even later in the day.
Bosco delle Agane is managed by the company that operates the
Bar Ristorante Bosco Bandito (former campsite), and there is a fee for entry. You can also drive there by car, which makes it ideal for
families and children.
It is recommended to book the picnic and barbecue areas during the week, and booking is mandatory on weekends. The area is open from April to September.
