Barducci
The history of the Azienda Agricola Barducci began in the 1950s when Carlo, originally from Florence, purchased some land to grow fodder for his trotting horses.
The gravelly and clayey nature of the soil, however, drove first him and then his son Franco to plant vines, a crop suited to this area on the ancient beds of the Isonzo River.
The third generation of the Barducci family, siblings Enzo, Giancarlo and Annarita, overhauled the business by bottling the wine and creating a label that is ‘close to the heart’ of the local community.
Today, the winery is being handed over to the fourth generation with Marco and Maria Carla who, after experiences abroad working in other sectors, have decided to return home with the aim of opening up the business and the typical frasca to international tourism.
