Start from the Piancavallo Infopoint (Via Collalto 1) to take the short route. Pass the traffic circle at the entrance to Piancavallo and take Via del Cansiglio slightly uphill. Continue without deviating along the slightly downhill paved road, from which you can admire large beech trees that keep it shaded, until you reach a dry right turn. After a few dedina meters continue to the right along the track of the old mule track that connected Baraccca del Sauc to Piancavallo. This was, in fact, the site of the Baracca del Sauc, a historic locale from which the trail is also named. What strikes and welcomes the hiker is the landscape, giving the impression of being totally immersed in nature.

Continue slightly uphill through the beech forest until you reach Via dei Rododendri. Proceed to the right and then turn left onto Via dei Ciclamini, skirting the beautiful tenements of the locality. The road rejoins Via del Cansiglio.

You return to Piazza della Puppa in Piancavallo.
