Loop trail ideal for families who are looking for an accessible walk where they can enjoy a beautiful day near Bordano.
Near the Butterfly House in Bordano, following the signs for the Bordano ponds, take the paved road that leads to the Sports Field. After the first section, you reach a meadow that is used as a paragliding/tandem landing site. You follow the route on a dirt road marked by signs that crosses the meadow and enters the grove. The landscape is surrounded by Mount San Simeone and the mountains overlooking Gemona, Mount Chiampon and Mount Cuarnan. After a short stretch in the woods, you reach the small lake, a reservoir fed by the Tagliamento River.
Continue the trail along the natural bank of the Tagliamento River, which can be seen to the right from the lake. The trail re-emerges into the grove and then returns near the meadow mentioned above.
Picnic areas with benches and tables are present. During the trail near the wooden sculpture depicting a bear there is a drinking water fountain.
