The Poti po näs is a long trail, also passable in single sections, that connects all the hamlets of the Val Resia through the ancient paths once traveled.
Poti po näs is not a simple route, but a project that has enabled the rediscovery of the ancient paths that connected the numerous hamlets of Val Resia.
In the version proposed here, it corresponds to the union of two magnificent routes of the valley: Ta Lipa Pot (the beautiful road) and Ta Stare Pot (the old road) which together create a path of over 21 km.
Starting from Prato di Resia, first you follow Ta Stara Pot (14 km) to the locality Braida from which you then take Ta Lipa Pot (approximately 7 km) to the remote hamlet of Stolvizza, and then return to the first route and back to Prato.
This large loop can be customized by shortening some sections or adding others based on your needs.
Poti po näs is a loop of extraordinary cultural and historical value but also of great natural charm. You cross streams with crystal-clear water, flowery meadows, and quiet woods where many animal species can be seen.
To fully experience the uniqueness of Val Resia, it is strongly recommended to visit the museums of Val Resia and the visitor center of the Prealpi Giulie Natural Park and to enjoy some typical dishes in one of the local establishments in the valley.

From Tiglio square, in the hamlet of Prato di Resia, first follow the paved road then the cycle path until you reach the hamlet of San Giorgio.
Leave via Prato to turn right onto via Campagna, then turn left onto a path that leads back to the paved road on via Resiutta.
Descend the road until you cross the locality of Tigo, where you take the footbridge crossing the Resia stream. After the small bridge, turn right and continue on a comfortable path until you reach the locality of Gost. From here continue on the road down to the hamlet of Lischiazze.
Continue on the paved road for a short stretch, then turn right near a votive icon. Once you cross the Rio Barman, enter the woods where a path allows you to reach the hamlet of Gniva.
After crossing the hamlet, near a hairpin bend, leave the paved road continuing right until you reach the hamlet of Oseacco.
Continue east crossing all of Oseacco then take via Cardinale Poma and go straight toward the locality Braida.
At this point, leave the Ta Stara Pot route to take the Ta Lipa Pot by turning right near a stream.
The path proceeds through wooded sections and more open areas, crossing small streams thanks to footbridges. There is a point to be careful near a stretch strongly eroded by the Resia stream. To overcome this section, the trail goes uphill, then with a brief slightly exposed traverse, immediately followed by a steep hairpin descent (be especially careful if it is wet).
After a couple of kilometers, you reach a large bridge crossing the Resia stream and, following the path that turns right, start climbing decisively in the woods. At the end of the climb, turn right again to descend into a beautiful meadow where some historic huts perfectly integrated into the surrounding landscape stand. Following the signs, pass the buildings and with about 100m of elevation gain you arrive at the meadows and garlic fields of nearby Stolvizza.
Continue for a few hundred meters in this evocative environment until you find the paved road leaving Stolvizza towards Malga Coot. At the intersection, turn left, go up a short steep ramp, and arrive at the hamlet of Stolvizza.
From here, follow the paved road until you reach the bar-restaurant "All'arrivo", where you turn right along via Pustigost and a few meters later see the sign for the Ta Lipa Pot trail.
Descend a steep stretch leading to the stream below where, proceeding carefully among the rocks and gravel, you arrive at the Potok waterfall.
Leaving the waterfall behind, continue on the right side of the watercourse entering a magnificent pine forest typical of Val Resia. About halfway through the wooded section, you reach a large meadow where "La Casa Resiana" stands, an educational-naturalistic center obtained from the renovation of old typical buildings.
Continuing straight ahead, cross a stream and after a few dozen meters, a large meadow opens on the left side. At the next intersection, turn right to resume the Ta Stara Pot path. This leads again to a paved road (via Tesa) that in turn leads back to Prato di Resia, the starting point of the route.
