The Botanical Path of Bila Peč winds through a glacial cirque within the Canin Mount mountain range. The beginning of the trail, starting from the Gilberti Refuge, can be accessed either via the Sella Nevea cable car or through various CAI trails leading to the area.

This short trail is easily walkable and free of difficulties, set amidst a very picturesque landscape. The imposing mountains surrounding the cirque and the splendid panoramic views contribute to its allure.

The vegetation here is adapted to the extreme conditions of high altitude, where limiting factors include prolonged snow cover, intense solar radiation, and limited water availability. The landscape features highly permeable limestone rock and a lack of organic soil.

    Author’s recommendation

To fully experience the territory of Canin Mount, it is recommended to combine this itinerary with the "Geological Trail of Foran dal Mus," which explores the geological features of the area.

Additionally, visiting the Speleology and Karst Exhibition in Sella Nevea is highly recommended.
